Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified First Responder Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor who has been working with clients from all walks of life since 2002 to address their mental health needs. She firmly believes that to enjoy a truly fulfilling life, one must find balance and cohesion amongst all areas of life; spiritual, emotional and mental, achievable through her holistic approach to therapy.  Emily provides individuals a safe place to address their concerns, while treating them with dignity and respect, increasing overall client success. She believes that her down to earth personality and client-centered approach, creates a less intimidating experience, wherein her clients can truly engage in the therapeutic process, promoting profound personal growth and lifelong change. Emily holds a Master of Science in Education for Community Counseling and Mental Health from Duquesne University (2002) and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2011, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor since 2004, Certified Trauma Professional since 2019 and a Certified First Responder Counselor since 2020.

Emily began her career working with adjudicated adolescents coping with dual diagnoses and a history of trauma. Emily has extensive experience in helping clients who have been involved in legal proceedings in both the family and criminal divisions of the Allegheny County Court System. She also has experience treating first responders dealing with issues surrounding career related trauma, relationships issues, drug and alcohol issues, anger management and a variety of mental health concerns. Emily has experience providing individual, family, adolescent, couples and group counseling.

It is truly Emily’s life long passion to help those in need and promote healing.
